The journey begins in the charming village of the madrigalist Carlo Gesualdo.
The wonders of the valley and the Castle, captured the attention of T.Tasso who celebrated the "lucky land, aprica, that floods and brings to happier people".Walking through the narrow streets of the old town, we will arrive at the foot of the majestic castle, home to an illuminated and opulent musical court, counted among the most significant monuments of the history of Irpinia and Campania.
A walk along small streets made of stone, among the noble palaces Pisapia and Mattioli, the seventeenth-century fountain and the Churches of the Rosary and of San Nicola. During the walk, we will meet local people who will host us in their homes for a coffee and to share a story related to their lives and the village.
The journey continues to the fascinating wine cellars "Tenuta Cavalier Pepe", where the vintners cultivate the vineyards in the greatest respect of the natural balance of the territory, the wines produced highlight the best taste characteristics of the Irpinian territory, at the end of the visit, we will taste the famous DOCG wines of the winery.
At the end of the tour, it is suggested the enogastronomical experience at the restaurant of the winery "La Collina", set in a landscape of enchanting beauty surrounded by hills covered by secular vineyards from which are produced precious DOCG wines (Fiano, Greco, Taurasi, Coda di Volpe), where it will be possible to taste traditional local dishes in a modern way, matched to the prestigious wines.
